I was awarded the Society of Academic Primary Care Junior Investigator Research Prize in 2025 which provides me with funding to attend one conference of my choice to present my research. Wolfson Palliative Care Research Centre provided funding for me to publish my research on early advance care planning in the British Journal of General Practice (there was no funding provided for the research project itself). This research was designed and undertaken during and after my employment on the Yorkshire & Humber Academic Foundation Programme.

This funding enabled me to attend the European Palliative Care Congress in Rotterdam as part of my placement. I received no funding from industry/commercial influences during this conference
