I am RCGP college representative for sustainability, climate change and green issues and RCGP reimburses some of the travel expenses associated with that role
I work a half day a week for Health Education England as a Training Programme Director in the Bristol GP speciality training programme, NHS England as a GP appraiser doing 20 GP appraisals a year in the Bristol area, a half day a week as NIHR clinical research champion for general practice in S Glos, Bristol and North Somerset, advice my former practice (Horfield HC) on strategy and research and also do occasional clinical sessions for a fixed fee of £10,000 pa, and provide a few hours consultancy advice each month re seven day working (paid at £75/hr) to the One Care Consortium in Bristol (which is a federation of >70 general practices funded by prime Ministers Challenge Fund money).
I am President of the Royal College of GPs
I am a partner at Horfield Health Centre. The practice owns the health centre and adjoining property Horfield House and gets rental income from various tenants. The practice also has membership of the One care Consortium which has funding in 2014 and 2015 from the the Prime Ministers Challenge Fund to increase access to primary care and owns shares in GP care which is a local GP lead provider company.
