Dr Colin Kenny MB FRCGP MMED has been a general practitioner in Dromore, Co Down since 1985. He has been a GP trainer, GP tutor, course organiser and an associate director of medical education in the Northern Ireland Medical and Dental Training Agency. He has run a diabetes clinic in his practice since 1986 and writes and lectures regularly on diabetes-related subjects.
In 1996 he became the inaugural chairman of Primary Care Diabetes U.K. In 2000 he completed the largest survey of primary diabetes care in Northern Ireland. He is a past chairman of the Primary Care Diabetes Society. He is a tutor on the Univ. of Warwick Diabetes Diploma Course. In 2007 he became the editor of Diabetes and Primary Care and now edits Diabetes Distilled. He makes 'the world of diabetes' podcast
